This learning module is intended to provide simple, accurate information about the Treaty and aims to introduce you to its history and implications to improve Māori health.

This introductory course is for anybody who works with young people aged between 12-24 years.

It will assist you to:

  • Be better able to engage with young people
  • Understand that young people are developing-and how this impacts on their actions and responses
  • Understand young people's need for respect to their right to confidentiality and privacy; and balance that with involving important supports like family and friends
  • Inspire further learning in youth health

Professional Development: 30 minutes

This course has an overview of vestibular anatomy, vestibular assessment and management options for common vestibular conditions. Primary audience is Physiotherapists

This e-Learning module is for anyone who works as part of a clinical team. It explores and discusses the principles of explicit identification of leadership, role allocation, role maintenance and communicating for situational awareness. As a participant you will be presented with a video narrative, during which you will need to make decisions to progress. So immerse yourself in the situation and enhance your teamwork skills

Professional Development: 1 hour

All triage nurses working in Hawkes Bay DHB ED are required to complete this competency.



Wounds affect a great number of the patients that enter the services provided by the DHB therefore it is important that all health care professionals maintain a basic level of knowledge of wound care to aid in their assessment and treatment of wounds. To facilitate this distribution of knowledge it has been made a mandatory  prerequisite to the wound care study day.

This course is worth 3 hours of Professional Development time.
