Preparing for employment

Preparing for employment

Preparing for employment is a significant part of your journey. Thinking about where to do your pre-reg or transition placement is an important choice too, talk this over with your tutor. Treat your placement like an interview, even if it’s not the area you want to start in. This is important as you will require preceptor/reference feedback for your employment application.

Nursing

All new graduate nurses should apply via ACE – which stands for Advanced Choice of Employment; it is a collaborative graduate recruitment process that assists graduate nurses in finding their first job in a NETP, NESP or ENSIPP programme across New Zealand. ACE allows graduates to submit their application documentation through one centralised point.  https://nursing.acenz.net.nz/

Nursing Graduate Programmes support nurses in their first year of practice:

NETP: Nurse Entry to Practice; RN – Generic, Primary & Community, ARC

NESP: New Entry to Speciality Practice; RN - MHAS

ENSIP: Enrolled Nurse Support into Practice; EN
