Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department can use standing orders for the purpose of ensuring timely and efficient care of patients presenting with pain and/or fever; asthma, injuries, cardiac chest pain, dehydration, or requiring topical anaesthetic.

The content of this e-Learning package will meet the requirements for education and demonstration of competence required by the Ministry of Health 2012 and Te Whatu Ora Taranaki.
