This course will provide an overview of the skills and knowledge required to undertake cannulation, as an extended practice in a safe manner to ensure patient care.

This eLearning module must be completed before attending the face2face IV cannulation course.

Audience

Registered Nurses/Midwives /Technicians who have identified intravenous cannulation and venepuncture as an identified learning need for their role.

Frequency

Every 3 years (not required if regular part of your clinical practice  

unless identified at Performance Review/ or Ward/ Department)
