After completing this course staff will be able to:

• ·         Be accountable for accurate decision making and the application of the Standing Order and is clear when to seek clarification for medication decision making.

• ·         Display nursing practice and clinical decision making when working with Standing Orders that is supported with comprehensive knowledge of the medication, assessment of the patient and treatments provided.

• ·         Document safe nursing practice that meets the Standing Order requirements
