What's different?
Not a lot really. The main things you'll need to get used to are:
- There are a lot more people in Ko Awatea LEARN. If you enrol or book people on a course, you'll need to pay attention to their email address to ensure you have the right person.
- There are a lot more courses and other districts may have courses with the same name. So when searching, always start by filtering for your district. And maybe book mark in your browser courses you go to often.
- There's a lot of reports you can use. Many of the reports are probably no longer needed and we will be reducing them over time. Because there are so many courses and people, you will need to use the Search By filters.
- Please don't schedule reports to be sent to you - this puts a lot of load on the system. If you have a regular need for a specific report please talk to us.
- If you save a search please make it Private. This prevents everyone else seeing your saved searches.
Back on Connect Me you had the row of buttons below. All of these reports can be found under My Reports now.

How to request a new course be set up or an existing one updated?
Continue to follow local process to evaluate and approve the need for a new course.
- For MHAIDS contact the MHAIDS L&D Team and they will coordinate it from there.
- For others, there is a central process in Kāpehu where you can complete a request on the Learning & Development page.
How do I get set up as an Educator in Ko Awatea LEARN?
