This course covers the safe and appropriate use of the Credo (VitaPCR) analyser for the rapid detection of respiratory pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2 (COVID 19).

Afinion 2

The overall aim of this course is to ensure staff are able to safely and confidently use the Afinion 2 analyser.

Operators of this PoCT device are required to complete a competency quiz every 12 months to maintain PoCT requirements for accreditation. Operators who fail to maintain competency requirements will be locked out of the Afinion 2 analyser and won't be able to access the device to run patient samples.


Cobas Liat RT-PCR - Nelson Marlborough

This course covers the safe and appropriate use of the Cobas Liat RT-PCR analyser for the rapid detection of respiratory pathogens such as SARS-CoV-2 (COVID 19).

CoaguChek

‘The CoaguChek Point of Care analyser is for the quantitative determination of an INR from a drop of blood (fingerprick collection). 

The overall aim of this course is to ensure staff are able to safely and confidently use the Coaguchek analyser’.


DCA Vantage
The overall aim of this course is to ensure staff are able to safely and confidently use the DCA Vantage. On completion you will be able to:

  • operate the DCA Vantage
  • undertake problem solving practice to successfully resolve issues
  • maintain infection prevention and control practices during the use of the device.

HemoCue Hb 201 DM Analyser

The HemoCue Hb 201 DM Analyser is a handheld point-of-care testing (POCT) device for performing haemoglobin testing on fresh capillary,venous and arterial whole blood samples.

Operators of this POCT device are required to complete a competency quiz every 12 months to maintain POCT requirements for accreditation. 

Who is this for: Staff who are required to use the HemoCue as part of their clinical practice

The Radiometer ABL 90 blood gas analyser is a bench top point-of-care testing (POCT) device performing blood gas, electrolytes, metabolites and co-oximetry on fresh arterial, venous or capillary whole blood samples.

Operators of this POCT device are required to complete a competency quiz every 12 months to maintain POCT requirements for accreditation. 

Who is this for: Staff who are required to use the ABL 90 blood gas analyser as part of their clinical practice
