About this course:
Manual handling injuries are amongst the most common injuries in the healthcare industry and we receive many work-related claims for lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling and strain injuries each year. In order  to avoid these unnecessary injuries, we have put together an online guide that is mandatory for all WDHB staff on an annual basis.  The objective of the course to give you a greater awareness of the dangers that poor manual handling poses, as well as covering safe handling techniques and practical solutions to manual handling issues.  Please note this course does not cover Moving & Handling – Patients programme.
