The TrakCare NHI merge and unmerge function provides the user with the ability to manage different patient NHI numbers and their associated patient demographic details and events under the correct NHI number which is essential to safe and effective care.

TrakCare provides the capability to combine different patient NHI numbers and their associated patient demographic details and events under the same NHI number - this is merge functionality.

There is also the ability to unmerge two NHI numbers, when different patients have been treated under the same NHI number. This is done by unmerging their patient demographic details and events and associated data into the two NHI numbers that were previously merged.

• Merging Duplicate NHI Numbers
• Unmerge Patients
• Understand the difference between unmerging in TrakCare versus unmerging a legacy NHI merge
