About: The overall aim of this page is to record completion of the practical competency assessment for Peripheral Intravenous Cannulation. On completion you will be able to insert a peripheral intravenous line (PIVL) in an adult patient independently. Practical competency assessment is through observation and conversation with educator or clinical coach or other qualified assessor.
