About: 

• Staff will learn to access and deaccess a Portacath on a mannequin. 
• Staff will also learn about the management of Portacath's, and troubleshooting problems that regularly occur with Portacaths'. 
• After the workshop, staff will be required to complete a competency assessment for accessing/deaccessing a Portacath on a real patient in their clinical area.
• Once this has been completed, staff will then go on the Port register.
