About: This study day aims to provide theoretical knowledge of mechanism of
traumatic injuries to the head, hand and soft tissue with a plastic surgical
focus to enhance nursing care provision and problem solving for optimal patient
outcomes.
Mā wai tēnei / Who is this for: RN’s, EN’s and Anaesthetic Technicians working within the Plastics
Service (including Burns), Emergency Department, Kidz First, peri-operative and
community who have completed orientation to their area of practice.
Prerequisites: Completed orientation to their area of practice. Current PDRP. Participants will review the
anatomy and physiology of the skin, head and hand prior to attending the study
day.
Frequency: Once
