About: This course provides the  Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI) breastfeeding education required by NZBA and Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora policy.
Mā wai tēnei / Who is this for: Midwives, Nurses, and Allied health staff new to Counties Manukau working directly with breastfeeding mothers and infants in maternity services and Kidz First Neonatal Care.

This is a BFHI mandatory course that should be completed within six months of starting employment.

Prerequisites: Pre-readings and completion of PT01 Breastfeeding Essentials Knowledge Check at Step2Education.com

Frequency: Once
Takawā / Time: 8 hours face-to-face learning in addition to online ES02 course modules at Step2Education.com
