Flight nurses (PICU or NICU-based) are required to support Paediatric patients requiring aircraft-based transport. 

This necessitates existing staff knowledge to be regularly assessed (and/or) updated

A successful course outcome (Certificate of Achievement issue) will give the PICU Clinical Team Leaders confidence that the participants meet the legal safety obligation for Aircraft Safety Emergency Procedures.
