Palliative Care Module


This eModule is designed to provide the learner with knowledge around medicines commonly used in palliative care, symptom management, the use of the NIKI T 34 syringe driver pump and the use of the Manawanui Pathway.

Included in this workbook is three Quizzes on Opioids, antiemetics and laxative/bowel management in palliative care. Please note these quizzes are designed as an educational tool, and we don't expect you to get them all right on the first go. When you answer the question, click check and this will bring up the correct answer true or false, with accompanying explanation. On completion of this module you will be able to print off a reference sheet which includes all the answers for you to use in your future practice.

The Palliative Care Niki T34 Syringe Pump is a 24hr subcutaneous infusion device currently used in Counties Manukau.

This course is aimed at providing the learner with the knowledge and ability to safely set up and use the NIKI T34 Syringe Driver Pump.
