ACT faculty’s aim is to support the growth and refresh staff’s technical skills, non-technical skills and confidence with the acutely deteriorating patient.

Focus in 2021:

  • Staff safety i.e. focus on the ‘D’ in DRS ABCDE (staff safety with PPE etc..)
  • Follow-ship as well as leadership in deteriorating patient situations (improving shared mental model)
  • Celebration of quality communication – focusing on recognition of outstanding clinical ward escalation/ communication – CEO awards
