PCEA for Midwifery (Updated)

The PCEA Course for Midwifery is a prerequisite for the Midwifery Acute Pain Service (MAPS) Workshop. The course provides a refresher on Patient  Controlled Epidural Analgesia.
Midwives working in Birthing and Assessment and Maternity Wards at CMDHB must complete the MAPS credentialing process on commencing employment or when rotating to these services. MAPS credentialing involves passing the online quiz at the end of this course, attending the face-to-face MAPS study day and passing the practical assessment. The midwife educator will then record completion of these requirements on Onestaff.
LMC midwives and experienced staff are also welcome to join the MAPS day for a PCEA update.
