Kia ora! The overall aim of this course is to provide knowledge about the importance of Skin to Skin especially for preterm infants. It will discuss barriers to Skin to Skin and ways to support parents and staff.

On completion you will be able to:

• Identify what Skin to Skin is and how it is used in the NICU setting.
• Explain the benefits of Skin to Skin.
• Discuss the barriers to Skin to Skin.
• Identify Best Practice.
• Examine teaching objectives and practices with parents and staff.
