Kia ora! The overall aim of this course is to further staff knowledge on safe moving and handling practices specific to patients with bariatric care needs.
On completion of this course you will be able to:
- Assess and identify factors that will affect your patients ability to safely mobilise.
- Recognise the RESPECT model and incorporate this into patient care and handling.
- Identify what equipment is available and how you can use it.
- Safely assist patients with bariatric care needs to mobilise in bed.
