Kia ora! As part of government Evacuation Scheme Regulations, Te Toka Tumai Auckland is obliged to conduct regular fire drills and provide theory training for building occupants. 

General Fire Update is a face-to-face training delivered by a member of Emergency Management Service (EMS). This needs to completed SIX monthly for all services under Te Toka Tumai Auckland.

This training should be booked at the service-level and is NOT to be booked by an individual without the service's arrangement. The training sessions typically take around 20-30 minutes and cover general fire safety and the evacuation procedure for your area. 

On completion you will be able to:

• Understand how the building detects, protects and suppresses fire

• Understand the fire alarm system in your service and how they operate

• Describe your evacuation process and your role to support this

Upon completion, your training record will automatically be recorded on Kiosk. This gets updated in the first week of the following month, so please do not worry if you do not see anything come through immediately.
