Intended audience: Clincians who are working in the Adult Acute focused teams in Waitemata District.

Course outline:

This day has been developed as a workshop with the idea of supporting the adult teams to develop a further understanding in some of the key differences with working with youth and children who may be presenting in acute distress. 

The workshop will have a number of speakers including a Child and Youth consumer advisor, Clinicians from the Acute focused team at Marinoto and Waitemata social workers. Along with opportunities to work on case studies, discuss safety planning and to take away some resources which may be more youth appropriate.
