Site outage: March 2026

This is for a significant system change. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

We’re gearing up for an important upgrade! Ko Awatea LEARN will be offline from Sunday to Tuesday, 8th-10th March, while we carry out a major step in improving and simplifying our learning environment. During this time, the site will be unavailable to all users.

We expect everything to be back up and running from the beginning of Wednesday, 11 March.

This is for a significant system change. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Booked to attend a face to face course during the outage?

The facilitator will have pre-printed the attendee list, so please attend any training you are booked for.

You will not have access to Ko Awatea LEARN during the outage, so please ensure you complete any pre-learning in advance of the site outage starting.

If you need to cancel, please let the facilitator know in advance.

What if I am part way through an elearning course?

Please complete the activity before the site outage starts to ensure your progress is saved. You can return to your courses to complete other learning when the site is back on 11 March.

Nursing portfolios

During the Ko Awatea LEARN outage there will not be access to the nursing portfolio sites. Access will resume on 11 March 2026.

Useful information for Administrators, Facilitators and Educators

This outage allows us to officially close the ConnectMe learning site and bring it together with Ko Awatea LEARN

It’s a critical milestone in our plan to reduce the number of learning systems we use — helping ensure our courses are consistent, current, and easier for everyone to navigate. This consolidation will support a smoother, more unified learning experience for all learners across the organisation.

 What you need to do

  • Plan for Ko Awatea LEARN to be unavailable during the outage period.
  • Print any attendance sheets for courses you administer, that you need during the outage.
    • You can use the seminar activity to check the attendee list, or use "my reports".
  • Keep a record of seminar attendance during the outage, for uploading after the site is back online.
  • If you have courses running during the outage that include online components (e.g. orientations, quizzes or e‑learning tasks) prepare an alternative activity or reschedule as needed.
  • Inform your colleagues and trainers so everyone knows about the downtime.

We apologise for any inconvenience that may cause, and look forward to the improvements this mahi will bring.
