The Counties Manukau Professional Development and Recognition Programme:

Nurses submit eportfolios to demonstrate compliance with legislation applying to employment of nursing professionals and the requirements of the Nursing Council of New Zealand.

To access this course you must have "Registered Nurse" or "Enrolled Nurse" or "Nurse Practitioner" as your primary role in your Ko Awatea LEARN profile setup correctly.

How do I edit my profile?

When you are logged into Ko Awatea LEARN, you can visit your profile by clicking your name in the top right and choosing ‘profile’ from the drop down menu.

  • On your profile screen you will see ‘Edit profile’ on the left under your name.
  • This is a good time to check that your name, employee number, and other details are correct.
  • Scroll to the bottom.
  • Make sure these fields are filled in.
  • Your primary role must stay as ‘registered nurse’ or ‘enrolled nurse’ or 'nurse practitioner' for you to have access to Healthcare Portfolio. Do not change it to anything else.
  • Fill in your APC number.
  • When you are done, click ‘update profile’. It may take sometime for the changes to update, try accessing Healthcare Portfolio again in 10 minutes.

If you still cannot access the course, or need access but are not a registered or enrolled nurse, or a manager of nurses, please email pdrpcounties@middlemore.co.nz for support with gaining access.
