  • New staff entering the pre-treatment area to participate in staff orientation program with pre-treatment trainer.
  • This skill-based competency assessment (audit) will be completed after a Senior RT or the Pre-treatment trainer signs off objectives as achieved.
  • Objectives must be achieved before RT participates in CT scanning as a third at CT.  

Required within two weeks

  • Uploading your completed audit form constitutes a legal statement that you have demonstrated your ability satisfactorily.
  • In due course, the course tutor will confirm this and award you a PASS (10/10).
  • You must ensure that you have added the missing details and saved these before uploading the form.

 

This assessment is required of all Radiation Therapy staff involved in general electron treatments.

All qualified Radiation Therapy staff need to be able to treat various sites using electrons.  
This practical assessment covers treatment processes unique to general electron treatment set-ups.  

This skill-based competency assessment (audit) will be completed after you lead at least 3 procedures successfully and the electron treatment objectives are signed off as achieved by a treatment senior or team leader.

  • In due course, the course tutor will confirm this and award you a PASS (10/10).

  • An opportunity to lead the procedure
  • Credentialing steps for Radiation Therapists to be signed off to treat patients using the Stereotactic Ablative Radiation Therapy (SABR) Lung technique
  • This skill-based competency assessment (audit) will be completed after at least 3 procedures have been successfully delivered

This skill-based competency assessment (audit) will be completed after at least 3 procedures have been successfully delivered

RTs will be tested regularly after the initial test to ensure ongoing competency is maintained.
