About this course
The Violence Intervention Programme (VIP) team present a one day course for all WDHB staff who are working with individuals in the community and inpatient services.
The course covers the dynamics, identification and how to respond to Family Violence, Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) situations.
- Understanding the dynamics of Intimate Partner Violence (IVP) and Child Abuse & Neglect (CAN)
- Implementing the Ministry of Health (MOH) Six Step Response to (IPV) and (CAN)
- Identifying how you can make a difference!
- Provision of a take home Training Workbook for ongoing reflection and reference
Please note: Before enrolling please discuss with your manager how this course will help you meet your performance objectives.
Participants: This course is for people motivated to develop skills and strategies to achieve their complex and/or significant key responsibilities and projects.
Duration: Full day workshop + 30-60 minutes desk coaching approximately 2 weeks after completing the workshop.
