WDHB CourseParticipants: This course is for Waitemata DHB managers and team leaders who are involved in the Performance development of employees.

If you have attended the Management Foundations programme, this workshop will provide a useful refresher.  Before enrolling please discuss with your manager how this course will help you meet your performance objectives.

About this course

This course focuses on developing your ability to:

  • Provide effective and specific feedback to your employees relating to their performance
  • Understand the value of building relationships with employees and how this contributes to their performance development
  • To develop S.M.A.R.T objectives, and the value they provide
  • Utilise the Performance tools provided
  • Explain what a high performance culture looks like
  • Explain what the WDHB PDR requirements and process is
  • Ensure objectives are in line with the DHB and services goals and objectives

The course focuses on participants being flexible in using these skills. During class there is some theory, discussion and sharing of ideas, with most emphasis on demonstration and practice, in a fun and safe way.

Participants: This course is for Waitemata DHB managers/team leaders responsible for managing leave. The session focuses on strategies for effectively managing attendance in your team.

  • Discuss a number of leave scenarios and identify appropriate strategies and approaches for effectively managing leave
  • Manage attendance leave/leave in your team
  • Explain how managing leave helps contribute to a culture of wellbeing in your team/service.
