All staff that provide hands on care for patients must have a fundamental understanding of Safer Patient Handling and demonstrate an ability to effectively apply this knowledge to their clinical practice to keep both the patient and themselves safe.

Safer Patient Handling adopts a blended learning approach.  It includes both this online learning package and also a practical workshop facillitated by the Patient Handling Training Co-ordinator.

This online course comprises interactive tutorials, video clips and a test.
