Clinical Cardiology Modular Course

  Intended audience: Waitemata District Registered Nurses within Cardiology Service & other Registered Nurses routinely performing Cardiac Nursing Assessment & Diagnostic Reasoning 

Prerequisites: Minimum of Competent Level Nursing Practice & endorsement by CNM/Team Leader & CNE

Duration: Equivalent to 48 CPD Hours, including eLearning and face-to-face sessions

 About this course:

The course aims to provide a comprehensive learning programme to advance clinical knowledge and understanding of nursing clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, and nursing management for cardiology patients. In addition, participants will gain insights into the patient's journey through the Cardiology Service within Waitemata District and apply contemporary nursing care to cardiac patients. 

This course will further enable the participants to attain professional clinical knowledge and skills to become proficient cardiology practitioners (see "Proficient, Level 3, Criteria for WDHB Cardiology Nurses").
