About this course

This course is designed for nurses who are working within the WDHB Critical Care Services as part of the Annual Competency Update or new to service.


The aim of this module is to improve the delivery of Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV) care within the ICU/HDU environment, and to reduce mortality and ensure patient safety by better adherence to guidelines.

This module will standardise and improve the competencies of those healthcare professionals involved in the provision of NIV care.

This module is designed to be taken prior to doing a practical training session.
