This workshop gives non-Māori participants insights into the impact that Māori indigenous attitudes, values and relationships have on how we receive or refuse health care services. We locate your role and your workplace into the Tiriti o Waitangi framework. We use Māori-centric and patient-centric narratives in a non-judgemental setting to demonstrate situations faced by clinicians and health administrators every day and offer ways to get a better result in your interactions with Māori and reduce Māori inequities.
