About this course: The workshop covers the core components of a comprehensive AOD assessment, as well as the skills in developing a formulation from the assessment information, leading to treatment planning. This training will also examine what physical dependency is and how to recognise withdrawal symptoms. Risk situations associated with physical dependency will also be covered.

This half-day workshop will cover Waitemata’s Clinical Documentation Policy and what is required for professional and useful clinical note writing. The workshop will consider our use of language both in note writing and in our everyday communications. It will cover strengths-based and recovery-focused language

- Increase confidence to relate to people with diverse sexual and gender identities in an empowering and respectful way
