The primary audience is the registered nurses of the four Older Peoples Health wards at Auckland City Hospital, however nurses looking after older adults in both surgical and medical settings will find relevance in the course. Participants completing this course will be able to recognise and articulate ways in which the older adult presents with acute illness, and describe actions they can take to minimise impact on the patient.
