Successful completion of this education module is mandatory for Registered Nurses before they can complete the practical procedure with a credentialled supervisor. It is recommended that both components are completed successfully within six months of each other.

On completion of this component, the Registered Nurse will receive a certificate, enabling them to proceed to the practical component of male catheterisation.
