Professional Supervision for Nursing Supervisees

About the course

This course introduces you to the fundamental principles of professional supervision (nursing).  You will develop a clearer understanding of the supervision process and its role as a reflective and professional development activity.

Pre-requisite

Participants enrolling in this course are registered health professionals working in all health healthcare settings. This module is designed for nurses but it can be adapted for other disciplines.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the relevance and functions of professional supervision within the professional framework.
  • Gain strategies on how to develop, maintain and terminate supervisory relationship.
  • Gain some generic skills in order to be able to reflect in and on practice within the supervisory relationship.
This course should take approximately 1-1.5  hours to complete.
