Advanced Tracheostomy Care for the Adult this course is designed for nurses who are looking after patients with a tracheostomy who want to know what has changed in the latest Adult tracheostomy RBP and how to manage tracheostomy emergencies.
In December 2020 the RBP for adult tracheostomy care changed. Several important changes occurred in this revised RBP.
The prevention of and appropriate management of tracheostomy emergencies is emphasized in the new RBP. This is covered in detail in this course.
Completing the course will take approximately one hour. You are welcome to check your knowledge at the end of this course by completing a short MCQ. Following this you will be issued with a certificate for you professional development portfolio.
