To gain certification for epidural management you need to:

• Attend an education session by a registered health professional within the Pain Service;
• Complete epidural Ko Awatea e-learning section;
• Familiarize yourself with relevant sections in 'Everything Pain' on the intranet -> Epidural tabs available, Lippincot,  and Medicine Management Policy; and,
• Pass the competency-based practical assessment(s).
• Recertification is required after 3 years.
