This course aims to help people understand the case-mix classifications for non-complex and complex clients requiring needs assessments and coordination. This course is suitable for new and current users of the case-mix care model. 

Under the National Framework for Home and Community Support Services a new model of providing home and community supports has been rolled out where the Waikato (NASC) team and the Non-Government Organisation (NGO) service-providers work in partnership to provide services under a new case mix model.  

This means that all stakeholders need to be trained to the same level of understanding.
