Registered Nurses in the Emergency Department and CDU can use standing orders for the purpose of ensuring timely and efficient care of patients presenting with a range of conditions. There are 19 standing orders for use across Level 2.

The content of this e-Learning package will meet the requirements for education and demonstration of competence required by the Ministry of Health 2012 and Auckland District Health Board.

• Locate AED/CDU standing orders on the website to review patient criteria. indications, contraindications dose and route of administration
