The overall aim of this course is to equip Staff Nurses (level 2 and above), working in the Starship Outpatient Clinic with the knowledge to safely administer Entonox (nitrous oxide 50% and oxygen 50%) for procedural pain relief.
On completion you will be able to:
Articulate the indications and contraindications for the administration of Entonox
Identify the resources available to you to support the safe use of Entonox
Articulate the legal requirements and responsibilities of administering this standing order
