Kia ora! The overall aim of this course is to provide an update on Maori Perspectives on breastfeeding. This course contains a video titled 'How do non-Maori partner wahine Maori to navigate a system that wasn't designed for them?'
This one hour course is part of the Breastfeeding Annual Update 2022

Revisit the history of western maternity system in Aotearoa
Consider how Mātauranga Māori can decolonise this reality for wahine Māori
Share in the learning of a team that work with kaupapa Māori health innovation in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Become an ally for equity
Who is this for: The Breastfeeding Healthy Initiative (BFHI) accreditation requires registered midwife and nurse employees of Women's Health and NICU to complete this course as a compulsory component of the 21 hours of education in your first six months of employment.
