Kia ora! The overall aim of this course is support nurses moving into monitoring by building their nursing knowledge to care for more complex patients.

On completion you will be able to:

• Identify key signs and symptoms of STEMI and NSTEMI

• Identify key signs and symptoms of stroke

• Assess patients using cardiac monitoring, labs and physical exam.

• Escalate patients based on acuity and changes to condition.

• Verbalize flow through monitoring and different roles within monitoring.
