Intended audience: All Adult Community Services kaimahi in Te Toka Tumai Auckland

Duration: 30 minutes

This course is for all Adult Community Services kaimahi in Te Toka Tumai Auckland that are involved in patient care, and therefore risk assessment and prevention of pressure injuries.

The main learning objectives of this course is to provide competent skills and knowledge required to accurately:

  • Stage a pressure injury
  • Assess a patient's risk for injury

Prior to completing these modules it is highly recommended that you read the Te Toka Tumai Auckland policy on Pressure Injury Prevention and Management in Adults and Adult Community Services Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Pressure Injury Risk Screening and Assessment Within Community Care (both are only available while on the Te Toka Tumai Auckland internal network).

Intended audience: All Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy staff, working in Adult Community Services, in Te Toka Tumai Auckland

Duration: 30 minutes

Course expert: Pressure Injury Prevention Group

The main learning objectives of this course is to provide competent skills and knowledge required to accurately:

  • Assess a client with / at risk of pressure injury and implement the appropriate bundles of care
  • Complete required documentation, including reporting an identified pressure injury
