Cardiovascular & Respiratory Nursing Assessment
This course will take you through the heart and lung assessment, which provides valuable information about the function of a patient’s cardiovascular system. Understanding how to assess the cardiovascular system properly and identifying both normal and abnormal assessment findings will allow the nurse to provide quality, safe care to the patient.
The Cardiac Cycle
This course is designed to deepen the understanding of cardiac physiology. It covers critical concepts such as preload, end-diastolic volume, ejection fraction, afterload, and end-systolic volume. Participants will learn how these factors influence heart function and patient care through detailed discussions, case studies, and interactive assessments. The course aims to provide practical knowledge that enhances clinical practice, ensuring healthcare providers can effectively manage cardiac conditions.
The Cardiovascular System
The blood circulatory system is a system of organs that includes the heart, blood vessels, and blood. The system transports nutrients, respiratory gases, and metabolic products throughout a living organism, permitting integration among the various tissues. The circulation process includes the intake of metabolic materials, the conveyance of these materials throughout the organism, and the return of harmful by-products to the environment. Some sources interchange the terms cardiovascular and vascular systems with the circulatory system.
