Successful completion of this course is mandatory training for the Ophthalmology department staff. Prior to administering Benoxinate (Oxybuprocaine 0.4%) and Alcaine (Proxymetacaine 0.5%) under standing orders, staff in the roles named above are required to successfully complete the eAssessment and obtain the completion certificate.  

This course delivers the Tropicamide 1% Eye-Drop Standing Order as a study note and assesses understanding of this mandatory document.

 
The Tropicamide Standing Order applies to all nursing staff working in the Ophthalmology clinic, ward and theatre and Allied Health: Ophthalmic technicians and Orthoptists,
