This course contains the workbook for Medical Pain Management and is used in conjunction with the face to face Medical Pain Study Day to support your overall learning in understanding and assessing adult pain.
Aim: Participants will understand ADHB policy and best practice for intrathecal analgesia/catheter
Audience: Nursing staff involved with patients receiving intraspinal analgesia (primarily in the oncology settings) management, including basic troubleshooting
Purpose: This course will provide participants with the essential knowledge to support the level of skill (development) required to provide care of a patient with an intrathecal catheter confidently, safely and consistently in accordance with legislation and ADHB policy
