This course is appropriate for both clinical and non clinical staff and may be the course for participants who only need to develop an understanding of the principles of safe handling and competency with this procedure but who will not be administering antineoplastic drugs.

This course does NOT require an enrollment key.

This module is appropriate for clinical staff who need to develop competency with oral administration but will not be administering intravenous antineoplastic drugs.

The Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) supports health professionals develop the necessary knowledge and clinical skills to administer antineoplastic drugs via different routes and handle related waste safely. ADAC uses eviQ content to develop education courses that are based upon the best and most comprehensive evidence available at the time of development. ADAC was developed by the Cancer Institute NSW and follows a strict governance process.

The course includes high quality interactive scenario based eLearning guides, eQuizzes, supervised clinical practice, competency assessments and a clinical skills workshop to consolidate theory to practice.

It is recommended that clinical participants meet the following prerequisites:

  • -12 months of post graduate nursing experience
  • - Demonstrated patient assessment skills
  • - Demonstrated patient teaching skills
