Audience:
This course is appropriate for both clinical and non-clinical staff who require access to i.Patient Manager (i.PM). Course completion is mandatory to receive an i.PM login.
The intention of this course is to ensure you are aware of the importance of finding the correct patient, and have the knowledge to view and update patient details. Once complete, the course can be revisited anytime. All other i.PM courses are classroom based and booked via the Training Booking System from StaffNet.
Time Allocation: Learners should allocate 2 hours to complete this course
This course is comprised of three eModules which need to be completed in the following way:
- Accept the i.PM Security Warning
- Pass each of the below modules with 100 %(You have unlimited attempts to pass each question)
- Searching for Patients (Allow up to 40 minutes to complete)
- Viewing Patient Information (Allow up to 30 minutes to complete)
- Amending Patient Details (Allow up to 50 minutes to complete)
- Complete the Feedback Survey.
- Get your Certificate (Print optional).
- A ticket will be automatically logged with the Service Desk on your behalf to request your login.
- You will receive your login details by email from Cherwell.

- How to retrieve the correct patient details by using various available tools to search for patients from local and National NHI databases
- Amend patient details
This course is a prerequisite for the following iPM classes

Intended audience: All staff who are required to use iPM
All staff who are required to use i.PM as part of their job role must complete the relevant e-learning module(s). As i.PM is our primary patient information system which provides information for all our other systems it is important that all i.PM users are competent. The e-learning modules have been created for current users of i.PM to ensure everyone is confident and familiar with the changes and relevant functionality with the upgrade.
