This course program applies to registered nurses practicing in a variety of settings, including hospice, hospital, aged residential care and community settings who may need to manage people with a syringe driver. Enrolled nurses are encouraged to complete the programme; however, they need to work within their scope of practice.
| This training module will provide you with the rationale for the use of a syringe driver and guidelines for management and care of a person with a syringe driver. It will also include information about medications and drug calculations. Audience This course programme is applicable to registered nurses practicing in a variety of settings, including hospice, hospital, aged residential care and community settings, who may need to manage people with a syringe driver. Enrolled nurses are encouraged to complete the programme, however they need to work within their scope of practice. Initial certification and annual update training involves:
