Kia ora! The overall aim of this course is to draw together health professionals and other interested agencies to collaborate, network ideas, research and training around topical issues of family violence.  This year's focus will be pick and mix to allow us to provide a variety of interesting topics.  This will be a hybrid day with F2F and webinar facilities.

You are welcome to attend all or part of the day as you are able.

This advanced training is for experienced staff, including social workers, family violence champions and family safety facilitators, or anyone doing regular routine enquiry as part of their professional role.

You must have completed the Core training day prior to attending the four-hour advanced training. The advanced training involves looking at case examples and case studies, as well as discussing strategies for dealing with more complex cases and emerging topics of interest or research. Therefore it is imperative that attendees have worked in their role for around 3 months and are familiar with routine enquiry before attending advanced training.

Target audience: Any Te Toka Tumai employee, priority given to those whose services support the practice of routine enquiry for family violence.

Pre-requisites: must complete both the Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and the Child Abuse & Neglect (CAN) the online component before signing up to the face-to-face training

Duration: 8 hours (6 hours online, 2 hours face-to-face)

This course is an annual part-day workshop for all family violence champions and family safety facilitators from across Auckland DHB for on-going education and support for those carrying out this role. The workshop consists of updates on any topical issues, relevant presentations and guest speakers.
