ADHB Paediatric ADAC Course 2:  Paediatric Administering oral antineoplastic drugs (eviQ modules 2-6)

  • Reviewing prescriptions and protocols (module 3)  
  • Educating the patient and carer (module 4)
  • Assessing patients  (module 5)
  • Paediatric Administering oral antineoplastic drugs (module 6)

ADHB Paediatric ADAC Course 3:  Paediatric Administering intravenous antineoplastic drugs (eviQ modules 7-8)

  • Paediatric Administering intravenous antineoplastic drugs (module 7)
  • Preventing and managing extravasation of antineoplastic drugs (module 8)

ADHB ADAC Course 4:  Antineoplastic administration for the non-cancer setting 

ADHB ADAC Course 5: ADAC reassessment of clinical competency

ADHB Adult ADAC Course 3:  Administering intravenous antineoplastic drugs (eviQ modules 7-8)

  • Administering intravenous antineoplastic drugs (module 7)
  • Preventing and managing extravasation of antineoplastic drugs (module 8)

This module is appropriate for clinical staff who need to develop competency with oral administration but will not be administering intravenous antineoplastic drugs.

The Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) supports health professionals develop the necessary knowledge and clinical skills to administer antineoplastic drugs via different routes and handle related waste safely. ADAC uses eviQ content to develop education courses that are based upon the best and most comprehensive evidence available at the time of development. ADAC was developed by the Cancer Institute NSW and follows a strict governance process.

The course includes high quality interactive scenario based eLearning guides, eQuizzes, supervised clinical practice, competency assessments and a clinical skills workshop to consolidate theory to practice.

It is recommended that clinical participants meet the following prerequisites:

  • -12 months of post graduate nursing experience
  • - Demonstrated patient assessment skills
  • - Demonstrated patient teaching skills

This course requires an enrolment key which you can obtain from Bridget Smith or your Nurse Educator.
